Certification Course  Syllabus

The Feng Shui Institute of America's Professional Certification Course takes a holistic approach combining it with social and earth sciences and addresses the challenges a practitioner may experience in the context of a rapidly changing multicultural world.  

The program is presented in three levels consisting of a combination distance learning and on-site-in-the-field training.  Tuition is $1000 per level for certification. Completion of  all three levels is required for certification, including  on-site specific classroom modules.  

Level One: 

Introduction and foundational materials regarding ancient feng shui practices; a discussion of the various schools of thought in the feng shui discipline; pyramid philosophy of feng shui, which is practiced by Feng Shui Institute of America graduates will be covered in detail and the premise on which pyramid is based. Form School, Compass School, BTB School and Pyramid School history will be covered.

II.  Feng Shui Tenets – Theory of  Tao, Yin/Yang, Chi, and the 5 Elements:  Creative Cycle, Reduction Cycle, Dominant Cycle; connecting them with various personality and temperament traits.  Exercises on applying these theories to analyze the person in the space.  These theories and how to apply them to a consultation will be the introduction to assessing one’s client from ancient practices.  Tools such as the BaGua, I-Ching, etc. will also be discussed for their ancient validity  in practice.

III. Bringing Feng Shui into Modern Times – The Science of Person Place Connection Introduction of Pyramid feng shui assessment tools and how they can be interchanged with ancient assessment tools to reach the person in the place. The science of why feng shui works and documented research that backs it up; Quantum Physics; Holons, Primary Imaging, Molecular Cell Biology, Elemental Testing, Gestalt Communications, Intentionality, Cultural differences and the Power of Place.

 IV.  Sacred Geometry - A discussion and examples of the role sacred geometry plays in feng shui.   Students will participate in an interactive PowerPoint presentation of sacred   geometry examples.  If weather and site location permits, a mini nature tour of natural shapes in our universe will be identified for students.

V.   Practical application of skills  will be part of the class participation.

VI.  Interactive videos and recordings accessed over the web will be made available to all students once they leave the class to continue their absorption of the materials. 

VII.  Level Two Overview  will be presented and students will be enrolled for the next module of study.  (A tuition payment plan can be set up or full amount can be paid within ten days to continue studies with mentor for level two.  The same can be done for level three as well.

I. - VI. Advanced applications of all assessment tools, (both ancient and modern), will be covered in interactive exercises throughout this level. 

1. Five Element Space Evaluation - Color and Shape Psychology

3. Holon Assessment of Person in the Place

4. Archi-typing -  Architectural Preferences of First Sight

5. Sensorial - Integrating Our Experiences of the World with that of Ourselves: Examining the Molecular Level of Processing our Experiences and Memories

6. Symbols of our Lives and Hierarchy of Placement in Our Spaces

VII.  Psychology and Power of Words and Intentions - The Art of Asking Questions and Evaluating Answers

VIII.  Students will be enrolled in level three for final level to certification.  At this time student will be assessed for transference of learning by taking a mini test and analyzing two consultation examples.

 Level Three:

I.  Feng Shui for Various Applications e.g. for health, design, business, garden, location of structures, etc.; Feng Shui analysis and Problem Solving; Continuation of Consultation Preparation.  More skill development with assessment tools both ancient and modern.  Level III will consist of more interactive rather than lecture.  Each day will build upon the previous exercises until student has mastered numerous consultations. Weather and location permitting, on site consultation, tour of locale to identify feng shui cures for buildings, landscaping, space clearing, etc.

II. Present feng shui business models that will include:  1) Internet Marketing; A trainer approach, A consultation business only approach; a researcher and book writer; A full service approach; Integrating into an existing business theme.  A business plan template along with access to recordings and interactive web videos will be accessible by students through web links.

Personal Mentor - You will be assigned a faculty member to be your personal mentor for the program.

Nine-Week Tele-Seminar  - Students are expected to participate in the 9-week   series tele-conference calls (Wednesday evenings 9:00 PM EST).  The series occurs three times a year.  If you miss a session you can make it up next time around.  You have access to the series without any extra charge for 18 months. Inter-active curriculum - The course can be accessed through our distance      learning approach as well as the option of attending a live class* room training  taught by a Master of the school or senior faculty member.

Our interactive curriculum includes three downloadable manuals along with additional links to interactive visuals that help you interpret your lessons; three additional text books; a reading list; color wheel and other tools to provide  you     with a well rounded learning experience.
